Your Project
Energy storage devices such as batteries

Complementary techniques using the X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) simultaneously.

Duties 
The main duty for a doctoral student is to devote themselves to their research studies which includes participating in the research project and PhD courses. The work duties can also include teaching and other departmental duties (no more than 20%).

Requirements

The candidate must have:

• been awarded a second-cycle qualification, or
• have completed at least 240 credits in higher education, with at least 60 credits at Master’s level including an independent project worth at least 15 credits, or
• acquired essentially equivalent knowledge in some other way in Sweden or abroad.
• very good oral and written proficiency in English.

Additional qualifications

It is an additional qualification if you have (beneficial but not mandatory):

• Experience in working with batteries or electrochemistry
• Experience with data analysis or plotting in python or other programming languages
• Experience with hard X-ray techniques and experiments, such as diffraction, absorption spectroscopy, pair distribution function analysis, etc
• Worked within data science, chemometrics or similar areas
• Previous project work that demonstrates deductive, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills.
